Multiple injured in shooting at Long Beach business, police say

One person died and another was wounded after a gunman opened fire inside a Long Beach, California business building on Friday afternoon.

The shooting took place around 2:30 p.m. Investigators haven't released much information, but witnesses at the scene told the LA Times that they believe the shooting happened near a building that facilitates a law office.

Police say a shooting at a business in Southern California has left at least two people dead, including the gunman. They said on Twitter that it has become a murder investigation, and that the suspect is also dead at the scene.

Authorities in Egypt reported at least nine people dead after two gunmen attacked a church south of the capital on Friday. The demonstrators shouted anti-Christian slogans and called for the church's demolition, according to the local diocese.

The LA Times while quoting the Long Beach police said that they responded to the location amid reporters of a shooter at large.

A video shows people running from an unmarked two-storey building which houses several law firms, the report said. Police also went to a satellite office of the same law firm at 3925 Atlantic Ave. The conditions and the number of victims was unknown.

Police officers, including SWAT team members have reached the scene in Long Beach, 32 km south of downtown Los Angeles.
