Everton manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed the club's interest in signing Cenk Tosun from Besiktas.

Cameroon worldwide Ekambi has scored nine goals in 18 Ligue 1 appearances and his form has caught the eye of the Everton scouts.

With European giants Roma, Valencia and RB Leipzig all interested in acquiring the 26-year-old's services, Everton boss Allardyce is concerned that the Toffee's may miss out on the striker, where they've sent club officials- which includes their Director of Football Steve Walsh- out to Turkey to finalise an agreement.

And new Everton manager Allardyce admitted on Friday morning that the club have a number of targets in mind when the transfer window reopens on January 1.

He said: "We need a front man if we can find one and will be actively looking for one in this window".

'We can't cloud the fact that we've got more penalties than anyone else which has contributed to a few points but that won't always happen so we need to strengthen.

"Oumar Niasse has scored goals but hasn't made a regular place at Everton, he was loan out past year to Hull City".

Green Bay (two fumbles and an interception), two of which thwarted Packers scoring opportunities inside Detroit's red zone. CB Davon House had a shoulder injury and Williams was evaluated for a concussion late in the game.

Allardyce rescued Everton from a relegation battle since he arrived at Goodison Park last month and has led the side up to ninth in the league standings.

"Sandro Ramirez hasn't picked up the pace of the Premier League, and hasn't been able to show what he showed in Spain".

Reported by The Daily Mirror, Allardyce said of the potential deal for Tosun: "It's in the wind".

"I think he's got a bright future, but I don't think we can rely on him week in and week out at the moment".

"I need more goals in the side at the moment if we are to just to maintain our position".

Striker Wayne Rooney, Everton's top scorer with 10 league goals, will return to the squad for Saturday's league trip to Bournemouth after missing the last two matches with illness.

"For me, knowing him from that age and knowing him now, yes, I would like him".
