DeRozan smashes Raptors scoring record in OT win over Bucks

DeRozan also led the Raptors with eight assists while Kyle Lowry had 26 points and Fred VanVleet made a huge overtime three-pointer as part of an 11-point game.

The franchise single-game scoring record was held by Vince Carter and Terrence Ross.

It was not an easily-fought victory, however, as the Bucks forced the Raptors into overtime, but 26 points from Kyle Lowry also helped lift Toronto to their 12th home win in a row. Toronto is an National Basketball Association best 14-and-1 at home and improved to 25-and-10 overall.

DeRozan, a shooting guard, made 17 of 29 field-goal attempts and all 13 of his free throws.

Eric Bledsoe and Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for Milwaukee with 29 and 25 points, respectively, with Antetokounmpo also accounting for nine rebounds and seven assists. Khris Middleton finished with 18 points in the entertaining rematch between first-round playoff opponents from last season, a series Toronto won in six.

He scored 45 points against the Philadelphia 76ers in December, but he has been a bit inconsistent this season.

It's the second time in two weeks that DeRozan has set a career high in points. He hit two free throws 37 seconds later to reach the 50-point mark.

Aaron Gordon had 20 points and 12 rebounds for Orlando, which has lost its last seven road games.
