The man accused of abducting two girls out of Texas was previously arrested for murder in Calcasieu Parish, authorities say. The Austin American-Statesman reported Monday that officers responded to a welfare call in the 2600 block of Leslie Court.

An amber alert was issued on Sunday, describing Griffith as a 5-foot tall, 100-pound, white girl with light brown hair, brown eyes, and a stud on the right side of her nose. A woman was found dead inside of the home.

Authorities believe Miles is driving a gray 2017 Hyundai Accent with a Texas license plate: JGH9845.

Police are seeking these two girls, missing from a Round Rock home where a deceased woman was found on December 31.

Terry Allen Miles is a person of interest associated with the suspicious death.
