It's been an injury-riddled stretch for San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard, from an ankle issue that ended his season during last year's playoffs to a quad injury that delayed his 2017-18 season debut until December 12.

"I don't think it will be a while", Popovich said regarding Leonard's status following the Spurs' 111-110 loss to the Trail Blazers. The partial tear implies more than a Grade-1 strain, but we'll reserve judgment until the Spurs provide details - he hasn't even been officially ruled out for Monday's game, which is encouraging. According to ESPN's Michael C. Wright, the team remains hopeful that Leonard can return and play on Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Both of those will launch on used Falcon 9 boosters, as SpaceX continues to re-fly rockets it has landed on previous missions. The company's first successful Falcon 9 rocket launch of 2018 was also probably the most secretive in the company's history.

Injuries have become a bit of an issue for Leonard recently, who got a late start to the 2017-18 season because of a quadriceps tendinopathy, an injury that had apparently been bothering him since the 2016-17 season.

Making sure Leonard is, and ideally can remain, fully healthy is obviously a high priority for the Spurs. He has also won two Defensive Player of the Year awards. Popovich's squad has relied on a group effort rather than an individual replacement for Leonard's scoring.
