Bar Council of India addresses presser on SC judge's revolt

Justices Chelameswar, Gogoi, Joseph and Lokur had expressed anguish over the CJI's decision to assign this case to a particular bench and not to the any of the top judges. "There will be a total anarchy in the system", said the judge from Bihar. There has to be a consensus between the five senior most Supreme Court judges (in the administration and MoP).

It's obviously a very disturbing day for the higher judiciary - that an unprecedented situation like this arose and the concerns of four of the senior-most judges of the supreme court were not being properly entertained.

Based on the report, two petitions asking for an investigation into the judge's death were assigned to a bench that the four judges reportedly disapproved of. "In closed doors you didn't get heard, now they are heard in public", he said.

Look's like BJP is not possible in putting un rift between Supreme court chief justice and the next ones to him.

The first is to resolve the current impasse between the top judges through a full court reference - a joint sitting of all apex court judges. "On behalf of Bar Council of India, I request Mr Gandhi and leaders of other political parties to not politicise the matter".

Leading the rebellion was the second most senior senior judge, Justice Chelameswar, who said that 'in the past few months, less than desirable things have been happening'. But for heaven's sake, what they did was wrong.

"I think we, the people of India, have a right to know what is going on within the judiciary and I welcome this", she said.

The most recent case comes from San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, widely known for his oft-hilarious, unabashed candor. Coach Luke Walton is eager to see whether they can maintain the momentum that's making their future look slightly less bleak.

Other judges believe differently.

He was quoted as saying, "There is no crisis", while refusing to make any further comments. The presser was held at his residence. In January 2017, Justice Karnan wrote to Prime Minister naming 20 people of Supreme Court and High Courts that were possibly involved in corruption. Instead of criticising them let us concentrate on the issues raised by them.

Activists and social workers have alleged that why the Supreme Court judges did not come forward when Justice Karnan was constantly raising the issue of casteism since 2011.

"Unity among Supreme Court judges will return by Monday".

Singh also criticised the stand taken by the judges stating that the judgment which has been cited in the letter to highlight the delay in finalising Memorandum of Procedure was "already withdrawn by the CJI". There should be some accountability.

Asked whether they wanted the Chief Justice to be impeached, he had said, "let the nation decide", PTI reported. And it is not like the judicial family comprises of only the chief justice as its head and others his subordinate.
