Mark DeMoss, a spokesman for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, said invitations to Graham's funeral will link be extended to President Donald Trump and other former US presidents, with whom Graham often consulted. He will become the fourth private individual to lie in honor at the U.S. Capitol and the first since late civil rights hero Rosa Parks received the honor after her death in 2005.

Ryan says he's inviting members of Congress and the public to pay their respects to the man called "American's Pastor" on February 28 and March 1.

Ryan and McConnell sent a letter to Graham's son, Franklin, who now leads BGEA, asking for the family's approval for Graham's body to lie in honor at the Capitol.

His body was transported from his home in Montreat, N.C., to an Asheville funeral home.

Graham's private funeral will be held on Friday, March 2 at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Chinese group bought Volvo Cars from Ford in 2010, and has since transformed the fortunes of the Swedish carmaker. Mercedes-Benz sold more cars in China than any other market past year , some 600,000 cars and SUVs, he said.

"Members of the public and Capitol Hill community are invited to pay their respects to the late reverend while he lies in rest", the speaker of the House of Representatives said.

The statement from Ryan described Graham's legacy as "touching the lives of many and forever changing the course of the world's spiritual health". He will be buried on library premises next to his wife, Ruth, who died in 2007.

The funeral at Graham's Charlotte headquarters will be held in a tent in the main parking lot of the library in tribute to the tent revivals in Los Angeles in 1949 that propelled him to global fame, family spokesman Mark Demoss said. Spokesman Mark DeMoss said a rumor that Graham had cancer was incorrect.

A White House spokesperson said there is nothing to confirm at this time. "It has been quite quiet in recent months and the last couple of years really".
