A man enjoyed himself a little too much and ended up taking an Uber rider from a party in West Virginia back home to New Jersey.

It wasn't clear if Bachman meant to give the driver the address of where he was staying at WVU or really wanted to go back to Jersey.

But maybe there needs to be a designated Uber caller, one who might reconsider a ride from West Virginia to New Jersey in the middle of the night.

In the end, the total cost came to: $1,635.93!

"I just woke up", Bachman, who admitted he had blacked out, said.

"What am I just going to get dropped off on the side of the road", he asked.

United States stocks waver amid economic data
Steel makers were sharply higher following reports that the government would announce tariffs on imported steel. Steel was up $2.26, or 5.2 per cent, to $45.77, and AK Steel jumped 45 cents, or 6.5 per cent, to $5.50.

"I guess it's kind of embarrassing", he added.

The Uber charge included a $3.94 base fare, a $2.35 booking fee, $696.95 for distance and $115.90 for time, according to NJ.com, which first reported the story. He also said the driver answered his cell phone when a friend called. A drunk man by the name of Kenny Bachman took a ride "home" to his house in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

We're not sure how many Uber drivers would be game for a London to Newcastle run at 3am, but some of the ones we've spoken to in the past have told us about some pretty lengthy trips. "He was on my phone, without me allowing it".

Kenneth Bachman, of Gloucester County, NJ, did the responsible thing by calling an Uber to take him home after a party on Friday night.

Besides the accidental 300-mile trip, Bachman had to pay extra because he had mistakenly requested an UberXL, and it was surge pricing. The driver was fined at every toll.
