On Friday, the Browns pulled off deals with the Miami Dolphins for wide receiver Jarvis Landry, the Buffalo Bills for quarterback Tyrod Taylor and the Green Bay Packers for cornerback Damarious Randall.

This trade marks the fourth that Browns general manager John Dorsey has made in the last 16 hours.

While the Pittsburgh Steelers no longer have to worry about facing Shelton twice in 2018 as a member of the Browns, they'll still likely face him once during the regular season as the Patriots will play Pittsburgh during the regular season once again.

Danny Shelton of the Washington Huskies hugs NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell after being picked No. 12 overall by the Cleveland Browns during the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Shelton, a three-year National Football League veteran, has one year remaining on his rookie deal.

Shelton specializes as a run-stuffing defensive tackle. In 2018, Shelton will be making just over $2 million. Additionally, Shelton has started in all but two of the games in which he has appeared.

As explained by Mike Reiss of ESPN, the Patriots will have a fifth-year option on Shelton that would equal the average salary of the 3rd-to-25th highest-paid defensive linemen.

While we don't know at this moment how things will work out for the Browns, Belichick can pair Shelton along with another first-round pick from the Class of 2015 in defensive tackle Malcom Brown. Wilson said Mathieu would be a flawless fit in New England, as he is also capable of playing cornerback and inside linebacker in sub-packages.
