Protests Planned Ahead of Trump's Visit to Border Wall Prototypes

Numerous rallies both for-and-against Donald Trump's "big attractive border wall" are expected to mark his first visit to California as president, where he will examine prototypes for future towering barriers to separate the United States and Mexico.

US President Donald Trump will visit the site of eight US-Mexico border wall prototypes in his inaugural visit to California.

Organizers on both sides were urging people to remain peaceful after recent scuffles at rallies in Southern California, including brawls at a December 9 rally near where the prototypes stand.

The visit comes amid growing tensions between the administration and state over immigration enforcement.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell said as with all presidential visits, his deputies will be involved in supporting the U.S. Secret Service and ensure public safety. It's a well-established USA legal principle that states can not exercise direct oversight over federal personnel and agencies. Dianne Feinstein's comment that a federal lawsuit against the state is an attempt to score points with Trump's base.

Several dozen activists held a press conference on Monday at San Diego's Chicano Park to call on people to come out and peacefully protest the project. Standing in front of murals of Mexican revolutionaries and other Latin American icons, they chanted "We reject your hate!"

"We are prepared for anything", Frank said. A wall along the southwest border would go a long way toward deterring those looking to cross into the USA illegally to take advantage of welfare programs, explained Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council.

Gomez sponsored the resolution opposing the wall, calling it detrimental to the city's environment and tourism.

Trump Will be Getting Military Parade Down Pennsylvania Ave. Without Tanks
White House budget director Mick Mulvaney told Congress last month that the parade could cost taxpayers up to $30 million. In practice, that means "period uniforms", re-enactments and even the use of an "old guard fife and drum", the memo says.

Since taking office, Mr Trump has said the wall will initially need United States funding but that he will find a way to make Mexico ultimately pay for it.

A "Trump Out of L.A." protest is being organized by the advocacy group Union del Barrio's Los Angeles chapter. He said his organization respects free speech and hopes Tuesday's rally will be safe for participants.

While at MCAS Miramar, President Trump is set to speak with Marines.

Earlier in the day, Trump will inspect border wall prototypes in San Diego.

Karen McDougal told the New Yorker that she began an affair with Trump in a Beverly Hills hotel bungalow and Summer Zervos filed a lawsuit, alleging that Trump groped and kissed her in the same location. "So, you can be sure I'm going to use every power I have to stop them", Sessions said in Sacramento.

But two of the three laws in question here do go too far in their well-intended attempt to push back against an overzealous federal government.

We here in the nation's immigrant capital, a sanctuary city that's been unfairly put in the crosshairs by the Trump administration's DOJ, sympathize with our West Coast brethren as they seek to establish a sanctuary state.
