Android Wear may be rebranded as "Wear OS", suggests Android P

It seemingly wanted to ditch the association of Android with the name of its watch specific interface.

As of now, there's no formal explanation for the makeover at this point, but it is becoming a bit of a trend for Google with its Android products. Some eagle-eyed observers have picked up on some language in a recent app update that suggests it may be christened with a new name in the future.

The new information was posted on Reddit, with user H3x0n noting that the rebranded software appeared when setting up a new Android Wear smartwatch.

There's no official word from Google on the instance; however we believe that Google will announce the new name with the Android P in line on this year's annual- Google I/O conference in May.

Maybe for those gadget enthusiasts who didn't prefer the "A-word" or those buyers who previously thought that they needed an Android phone.

The Android Wear devices and the operating system has not been getting a lot of love from the company but it seems that Android Wear is going to get a new face and branding as there are hints that Google will be rebranding the OS. This name changer can be a lack of faith or a leap of faith.
