Observer and The Guardian have been at the forefront making public about the improper use and harvesting of personal data involving about 50 million Americans by Cambridge Analytica.

A Houston, Texas, businessman filed a class action lawsuit in federal court Friday against Facebook for sharing personal data of almost 50 million Facebook users with Cambridge Analytica, a company accused of using the information to post targeted political ads for President Donald Trump.

Cambridge Analytica, which worked on U.S. President Donald Trump's election campaign, has been accused of illegally mining tens of millions of users' Facebook data and using it to target potential voters.

"As you will expect, we will now need to collect, assess and consider the evidence before coming to any conclusions", he added.

The post on AIQ's website says that Chris Wylie had never been employed by them.

"But it was not used in the Brexit campaign".

Steve Bannon who is Tump's ex chief strategist and was also a member of the "political consultancy" team working on the Facebook data to influence 2016 elections, offers a different perspective by saying that "Facebook data is for sale all over the world". "We have not undertaken any paid or unpaid work for them, okay?" he told a committee investigating fake news in United Kingdom politics. Although that was before the ICO decided it needed to apply for a warrant to raid CA's offices.

It also appears from the video that the human backup driver is looking down and is surprised when the Uber vehicle hits Herzberg. After its strong California results, Waymo is now testing cars in Chandler, Arizona, a Phoenix suburb, with no safety drivers.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has also been requested by lawmakers in the U.S. and testify before investigative committees regarding Facebook's role in the data breach.

Cambridge Analytica's parent company, Strategic Communications Laboratories, partnered with a firm, Ovleno Business Intelligence (OBI), in India which had mentioned BJP, Congress and JD (U) as its clients on its website before it was taken down earlier this week.

"[CA] believed that the data had been obtained in line with Facebook's terms of service and data protection laws", writes Taylor.

"When Facebook sought further assurances a year ago, we carried out an internal audit to make sure that all the data, all derivatives and backups had been deleted, and gave Facebook a certificate to this effect".

In a statement Friday, Cambridge Analytica reiterated its previous claims that it did not use any of the data during its work for Trump.

"We are pleased with the decision of the Judge, and the warrant is now being executed", ICO said in a statement late Friday.
