As the value market leader in feature phones, we understand the barriers and challenges people face when it comes to stepping up to a smartphone which is where the Nokia 1 fits in perfectly. Priced at Rs 5,499, the Nokia 1 will be available in two colour options - warm red and dark blue. Under the hood, there is a 2150mAh removable battery, and Android Go (Oreo) runs out of the box. Unsurprisingly, this becomes the second Android Oreo Go OS phone to be launched in India after Lava introduced Z50 last week. I would say its biggest competitor is from Nokia themselves; the Nokia 8 is now available for the same price of just £349.

Display: 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display.

To recap, Android Oreo (Go Edition) is a trimmed down version of Android Oreo which has been created to run on devices with 1GB or less RAM. The device has modest specifications which include 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, and a quad-core 1.1GHz MediaTek processor.

Some of you may know that Nokia 1 with Android Oreo Go edition was first announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, in February 2018. The device will be up for sale from March 28.

There's 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and support for expandable storage through microSD card slot (up to 256GB). The phone runs on Android Operating System but as of now the version of the operating system is not mentioned yet.

Coming to the camera department, the Nokia 1 features a 5MP primary camera with an LED flash.

As a part of the launch offer, Reliance Jio is offering a cash back offer worth Rs 2,200. These Xpress-On covers will be sold separately for Rs 450. It also has microSD card support which can be extended up to 128 GB. In addition to that, users will also get 60GB of data. Apart from the Jio offers, customers purchasing a Nokia 1 can get 20% discount on their first booking on redBus as well as a 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance by Servify on opening a Kotak 811 savings account.

Futures: Android 8.1 (Oreo) Go Edition, Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, Global Positioning System and 2150mAh battery. It also packs a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera, but miracles shouldn't be expected from these. It has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. Users have a choice between azure plus grey and yellow plus pink combinations of Xpress On covers.
