While we didn't see any confrontations with Mister Negative in the Spider-Man game preview, there could be some cool, heart-thumping action between Spidey and this current villain.

Then there's the Collector's Edition, a $149.99 collection that features all the Digital Deluxe goodness, plus a Steelbook case, art book, and Spider-Man statue.

Sever new details have emerged about Marvel's Spider-Man on PS4, after Game Informer's digital issue went live earlier today. Those who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition in the USA or Canada will also bag themselves a limited edition collectible pin (it will be mailed to them). You can now pre-order the digital Standard Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition from the PlayStation Store.

The PS4 Spider-Man games takes place around a Peter Parker who is 23 years old and interning at a laboratory while about to graduate from college.

Marvel's Spider-Man will launch on September 7, exclusively for PlayStation 4.

NASA grants Lockheed Martin $248M contract to develop a quieter supersonic jet
The design of the airplane is meant to reduce the "sonic boom" to a thump or a double-thump by the time it reaches the ground. The aircraft will be created to cruise at 55,000 feet (16.7km) altitude at 940mph (1512km/h).

I'm really excited for this game.

Spider-Man is scheduled for release in the first half of 2018 for the PS4. Because of this, we recommend waiting until the full statue is revealed before purchasing the Collector's Edition.

Insomniac announced the game back in 2016 at E3 and confirmed that this game is a standalone experience not linked to any of the movies.

In the meantime, we do know that we can count on Spider-Man dropping this summer. Plus we got famed Marvels and Amazing Spider-Man cover artist Alex Ross to create this "Amazing" cover painting for the magazine. Unlike previous Spidey games, this one promises to be more of an open world and will even allow you to play as Peter (think Zero Suit Samus) and Mary Jane Watson at certain points throughout the plot.
