Undertaker, who returned to the ring at Wrestlemania against John Cena was supposed to face the Bulgarian Brute Rusev but WWE has made a decision to change the match.

The Phenom will now face six-time world champion Chris Jericho.

The Undertaker will take on Rusev in a Casket match in King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.

WWE.com reported on Wednesday the storyline reason for the change was Rusev's wife Lana publicly campaigning on Twitter for Rusev to be pulled from the match as she anxious for his safety.

Rusev entered WWE at a time where The Undertaker pretty much only did WrestleMania so the two of them haven't had any interaction.

Khloe Kardashian reportedly gives birth to baby girl
While Khloe was reportedly being the "bigger person" by inviting Tristan to the birth, the tension in the room must have been intense.

But in the end, putting Chris Jericho in this match would be a great nostalgia match for Attitude Era fans who grew up watching people like Y2J and Taker.

PWInsider Elite Audio's Mike Johnson cited Rusev asking for his release prior to WrestleMania 34 as one possible reason for him being added last-minute to the U.S. Championship match. The object of a Casket match is for a WWE Superstar to trap their opponent inside the casket and close the lid.

So it appears, for now at least, that Rusev Day isn't going to be a thing of the past in the WWE anytime soon. "Nothing like that. They just decided Jericho vs Undertaker would be a better match even though they announced Rusev vs Undertaker before they figured that out". "But so am I, it's Rusev Day", Rusev told the interviewer.

As noted earlier this week, Rey Mysterio is set to make his return to the ring for WWE at the April 27th Greatest Royal Rumble event from Saudi Arabia, according to PWInsider.
