Call of Duty is supposedly jumping on the Battle Royale wagon

If you hated the sensation of being turned into a pile of ashes by something that couldn't miss and couldn't be countered in Fortnite Battle Royale, then you're in luck. All things considered, it wouldn't be a huge stretch to see a battle royale mode implemented into Battlefield.

According to Polygon, the next Call of Duty (Black Ops 4) is ditching campaign mode. Both PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite Battle Royale continue to be huge successes, a selection of smaller games from independent developers continue to be released month to month, and now we're learning that major franchises including Call of Duty plan to enter the fray in 2018.

The company also took issue in the fact that Epic Games references to "PUBG" when promoting "Fortnite", something he noted "was never discussed with us and we don't feel that it's right".

A report has surfaced stating DICE is now investigating how a battle royale mode would work in Battlefield 5. It's more than likely that the mode could be added in the future as a free update for owners of the game. As well as a rumored Conquest mode, the latest news suggests that DICE is testing the waters with Battle Royale.

Having finely elucidated the necessary, for those of the uninitiated amongst us, "Fortnite" is an online co-op game that has its platform set on parallel planet earth that has been thoroughly ravaged by a storm, leaving behind plagued lands and infected zombie-like creatures.

The Universities, Xavier, Wilberforce, Tuskegee and Bethune-Cookman, are all Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The superstar was due to perform previous year but had to postpone because she was pregnant with her twins, Sir and Rumi.

Whatever the specifics, DICE's approach to online shooters, with massive maps and huge player counts, would present a natural opportunity to build a battle royale.

What's less certain at this time is how DICE will get the mode to work.

Weapon swapping is also getting some tweaks based on player feedback.

Fortnite update 3.5 went live this morning and already fans have found a load of new skins and more cosmetics that could be coming to the game very soon. Let us know in the comments.
