Orange County deputies responded to the pond about noon Wednesday after Eric Wolfe called 911 and said he saw a teenage boy flailing his arms in the water and screaming, "It bit me, it bit me, ' before going disappearing under water in an alligator-infested pond". The sheriff's office states it does not have any report of a woman who's gone missing.

According to officials, a person reported thrashing in the water Wednesday afternoon. "He went into his home and got some binoculars". Police said witnesses heard the teen screaming in the pond, "It bit me!"

Crews on Wednesday used sonar devices for hours trying to find the alleged victim. Nothing was found in the water.

Williamson said there are not reports of a teenager missing in the area and that the report was generated from a witness standing about 100 yards from shore.

"It would come out, and the tail go like that and he was swimming towards me and I was like, 'See you later".

"My understanding is that is not large enough to take a grown man down", Williamson said.

However, the Sheriff's Office has not confirmed the identity of the body or whether it appeared the body suffered injuries consistent with an alligator attack. "He watched them and watched them until the individual went down", added Williamson.

The neighbors say they try to keep their distance from the water because of the gators around the lake.
