He went on to win his second Players championship that year.

Woods' day on Friday was very middling.

Rory McIlroy admitted his frustrating, opening 71 at The Players Championship was a "fair reflection" of his play at TPC Sawgrass.

Either way, fans at the Stadium Course were ecstatic to see Woods capitalize. He shot 71 and missed by two shots.

"At Augusta, I can feel like I really didn't play that great and I'm somewhere near the leaderboard", Spieth said.

So Woods has some work to do to stick around Sunday. "The majority of them are accessible", Woods said.

"Eventually I was going to put all the pieces together and today for the most part I did that". On five of his birdies, Woods hit approach shots from 130 yards or closer to within 15 feet. I think the mental side of golf is way more important than the physical. "I didn't have much of what I wanted". The whole day I hit a lot of quality shots and 65 was probably as high as I could have shot, which was kind of nice. Tiger Woods is off to a hot start this morning. Spieth three-putted from 35 feet, though he shot 68 and ended three straight years missing the cut. He blasted to 8 feet but couldn't convert.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is here to redefine super luxury travel
The vehicle is built using Rolls-Royce's "architecture of luxury", which means it has an all-aluminium spaceframe architecture. The Rolls-Royce badge and bonnet ornament ride well above the line of the wing, for a unique vantage point.

Those miscues were huge for Woods. Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler were also eliminated after the latter recorded successive double bogeys on 15 and 16. The result was a tee shot that came up just short enough to hit the front bulkhead, bounce onto the back of the green, and roll into the water.

McIlroy had a chance to only lose one stroke, but missed an 8-footer for bogey. After chipping from the drop zone, he walked away with a double-bogey and moved back to nine-under for the day. On Friday, the only place he gained strokes was off the tee.

"My dad used to always look after me", Schwartzel said.

On Johnson, Bale added: "I really love watching Dustin Johnson play". I had some chances that I didn't take advantage of, but I got up-and-down a couple of times and chipped in, so it was okay. "It just got lost along the way somewhere". A birdie at the fourteenth and then another gain at the easiest hole on the course, the par-4 sixteenth saw him inside the cut-line.

They just happened to be the 17th and 18th, the two hardest holes on the course.

"I didn't quite swing it right today", he told reporters. So might have caught a gust. "So it's two ends of the spectrum for me historically". Tee shots posed no threat; iron shots cut and drew at his will; putts that for the last 10 days have misfired finally found their mark.

Hadley has six top 10s this year and is at No. 19 in the FedEx Cup.
