She's a ideal avatar for this moment in our history: white, loud, mean (she also took time Tuesday morning to tie Chelsea Clinton to some weird George Soros-related conspiracy) and enamored with unhinged narratives based on nothing but lies, like the tale of a global child-trafficking ring linked to Hillary Clinton that is jaw-dropping in its stupidity.

ABC canceled its hit sitcom Roseanne Tuesday after the show's star and namesake, Roseanne Barr, a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump, sent a tweet that was "abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values", according to ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey. "I just want to apologize to the hundreds of people, and wonderful writers (all liberal) and talented actors who lost their jobs on my show due to my stupid tweet".

Barr added that she will address the controversy Friday on Joe Rogan's podcast.

Born in Shiraz, Iran, Jarrett received her law degree from the University of MI before working as the deputy corporation counsel for finance and development for Chicago Mayor Harold Washington.

At the same time, Barr also released a statement to BuzzFeed on Tuesday night regarding her comments, which echoed her recent tweets.

'I apologise. I am now leaving Twitter'. And then ABC dropped the hammer by canceling the show.

Serena Williams Will Play At The 2018 French Open Unseeded
Several of Williams's fiercest competitors seem to agree that the 23-time Grand Slam champion should be seeded. If you are forced out for a specific reason, whether it be maternity or injury, you need to be protected.

In another tweet: "I apologize. Forgive me- my joke was in bad taste". But it was still the most popular scripted show of the year so far, and for ABC to cancel it so abruptly meant Barr's comments finally crossed a line.

Tweeting this morning, Roseanne told her 725,000 followers: "I'm sorry 4 my tweet, AND I will also defend myself as well as talk to my followers".

Barr no doubt feels sick for herself, her co-stars, her crew and everyone associated with her show.

The tweet was deleted and the celebrity announced a hiatus from the social media platform. "I am sure they are going to lose some revenue potential from next season, but the fallout from the comment made this an easy decision, especially when you consider the Disney brand".

Several minutes prior to the post, she shared a similar sentiment regarding her desire for fans not to stick up for her, despite the fact that she appreciates their efforts.

United States television star Roseanne Barr has apologised for her racist outburst against a former Barack Obama aide, claiming she believed the target of her abuse was white.
