Keeping the yearly tradition, Alphabet-owned Google will come with its upcoming Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL in October this year.

Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL introduced screen protectors (left) and schematics based on them (right). The larger of the two phones, which are rumoured to be called the "Pixel 3" and "Pixel 3 XL", will reportedly feature an edge-to-edge display like the iPhone X. Pixel 3 XL will come with an iPhone X-like notch display, something that is already seen on most of the recently launched smartphones. Hopefully none of these handsets suffer like the diabolical launch of the Pixel 2 range.

Technology giant Google will counter latest iPhones by bringing upgrades to its Pixel smartphones, reported Bloomberg.

Do you use Google on your phone is perhaps the most obvious question to ask when you very well know the expected answer.

The user also included a rendering of the back of the device, which appears to feature a dual-lens camera, as well as a glass back panel, perhaps to allow for wireless charging. The regular model will not have an edge-to-edge display and will retain significant bezel throughout.

A final interesting note is the fact that unlike previous handsets carrying the Pixel name, this year's devices may be built by Foxconn.

NASA Astronaut Alan Bean dies at 86
In total, Bean logged 69 days, 15 hours and 45 minutes in space, including 31 hours and 31 minutes on the moon's surface. After Apollo , Bean commanded the second crewed flight to the United States' first space station, Skylab , in 1973.

Both Pixel 3 models will be offered exclusively by Verizon in the USA, and Google is believed to be in negotiations with Foxconn, the manufacturer of Apple's iPhones, to build the Pixel phones, the report adds. Oddly, it will also continue to utilize a single rear camera lens, while all of the competition has long since moved to multiple lenses. Google so far teamed up with various OEMs to make its Nexus and Pixel devices.

That means for the third year in a row, Verizon will be the sole US carrier partner for the new Pixel phones, according to a report from Bloomberg.

Truth be told, Google's expected smartphone roadmap for 2018 is reminiscent of Apple's plan for 2017.

Google Pixel 3 standard will be the smaller model with a classic design, while the Google Pixel 3 XL is the larger model with a notch.

The firm says Android P addresses numerous "pain points" of use that have been outlined by users over the years.
