Pochettino on Real Madrid: 'What will be, will be'

Zidane shocked Real by revealing he was leaving the club just days after making history by winning a third successive Champions League title.

Despite all these glaring issues, Pochettino's refusal to dismiss his links with Real Madrid suggest he is open to the prospect of moving to the Spanish capital, as he offered up these comments at a press conference in Barcelona on Friday.

Sources have told ESPN FC that the new long-term contract Pochettino signed last week with Tottenham did not contain any clause which would release him to move to Madrid at this point.

"Like I told the president it could be a "see you soon" because Madrid has given me everything", Zidane added. "It would have been hard for me to win again next year". I do not forget that. But I feel it's time.

Who could replace Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid?

"I had the respect of all, above all the players, which has been fundamental in achieving things. So Zidane did the right thing, now he's not subject to anyone".

Williams , who returned to tennis in March, was asked about her chances at Roland Garros - a tournament she last won in 2015. The top seed eventually claimed victory on a third match point when Bolelli dumped a forehand into the net.

Incredibly, his record-breaking achievement in Kiev came less than three full seasons in charge after he was promoted from his position as coach of Real's youth team. I had an injury five, six weeks in but fit ever since. It is about what I think. After three years, it is hard to keep coaching, above all, having won three Champions Leagues. I made an impact. "You saw in the Copa [del Rey] this season and I can't forget our domestic campaign that easily". The players need a change.

Another player who Zidane did not reportedly get on with is Gareth Bale.

"It's a unusual moment to do so, I know, but an important one too", he said. "It's a club I love and I love the president too, he brought me to this huge club and I will always be grateful, but I think a change is needed so I will not be here next season". "About what comes next, is not for me to say".

"We know what we have achieved and how good we have been".

It is widely expected that Zidane will one day manage France himself.

Zidane said his association with Madrid may not be at an end. I am not exhausted of coaching after three years.
