The developer mentioned that the game is still a long way out, but it wanted to share the progress and showcase the new technology and art style. It was mentioned that the story of Master Chief continues but in what fashion? Undead Labs and Playground Games were natural acquisions due to their work on State of Decay and Forza respectively.

There are a few more details on the blog of developer 343 Studios that give you some very brief ideas of what exactly Halo Infinite is. The game will be released exclusively on Xbox One and Windows 10.

The most interesting piece of information revealed during the event, though, is how Microsoft is looking to the future of both the Xbox platform and video games as a whole.

Spencer said his team is "deep into architecting the next Xbox" in a commitment to console gaming at a time when mobile and personal computer play are soaring.

Trump, Macron trade shots before G7 summit
In an interview with the BBC in January, Macron said he had a " very direct relationship " with his United States counterpart. Trump's recently announced tariffs are only the latest move signaling US departure with traditionally close allies.

Why it matters: Microsoft's first party exclusives for Xbox has been lacking. Microsoft's intent to acquire Ninja Theory will help ensure the creative team has the resources and freedom to bring more ambitious games like "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice" to fans.

At the end of the day, it's the games that determine the overall success of a console.

The upcoming Forza game will also include a cool open world multiplayer experience that lets you pit your racing talents against real gamers. The game looks like it plays beautifully and the visuals throughout the new trailer are impressive, to say the least. Instead of a triumphant demo that caused explosive yells from the audience, 343i showed off an engine tech teaser for its newest Slipspace Engine, which is powering the latest Halo project. There's a new Halo, multiple Gears of War games, and a multitude of trailers for everything from Kingdom Hearts III to Fallout 76.
