Doctor Rodrigo Lasmar said Neymar left as a precaution after feeling soreness while jogging.

Meanwhile, Neymar has given Brazil a fresh headache after limping out of training yesterday, sparking fears he could miss their clash with Costa Rica on Friday.

Pressed to discuss the impact of Neymar possibly missing Brazil's next match, Coutinho spoke like a player confident the Paris Saint-Germain superstar will be fit to face Costa Rica.

"The team is fully aware of what we are going to be facing tomorrow", he said. "A shorter workout was planned for the starters today, they're still in a regenerative process". He felt some pain and went to the physiotherapy, and tomorrow he will train normally.

Estado de Sao Paulo said that the draw was the result of the team's good and talented play in the first half combined with its failures in defence and lack of creativity during the second half.

Brazil media officer Vinicius Rodrigues has since stressed the issue was not associated with Neymar's foot as he highlighted the rough treatment the forward received against Switzerland.

Coutinho told a press conference: "We have a lot of great players in the national team and each one of them has his own responsibility".

He said police from Toulon had raided the woman's home in an attempt to discover whether she had links with Islamic State (ISIS). France has been plagued by a series of terrorist attacks and has remained on high alert since 2015.

"Switzerland had also not lost in their last four games". "We're talking about a World Cup so everybody will try to defend their game".

It's believed the issue is related to his ankle, the same ankle he was favouring after taking more than one whack in that area during the course of the game against Switzerland.

"We spoke about the possibilities and the ways to qualify and points". When he plays for us, it's a huge help.

Anything but victory could leave Brazil, one of the title favourites in Russian Federation, in a hard position to advance from the group stage.

"Neymar injured??? No chance for Brazil to win now", one fan wrote. But they have not beaten Germany in three attempts at various World Cups.

Brazil had won 17 of its 22 matches since Tite took over as coach in 2016.

Needing a break and to relieve the pressure with a win, Brazil could hardly have picked better opposition in Los Ticos, who have only beaten Brazil once in 10 meetings way back in 1960.
