Amazon rolls out deals ahead of Prime Day

The online retailer's sale started July 10, offering more than a hundred deals for $119 - the price of an annual Prime membership - and throwing in free shipping, too.

In April, Jeff Bezos confirmed that there are now more than 100 million Prime members worldwide. It's only for Prime members.

According to retail sales aggregator LovetheSales.com, 30% more discounted products are now available to consumers than usual at this time of year. Additionally, Target.com will host a one-day sale on June 17, featuring discounts on dozens of products. You can also grab four months of Amazon Music for $1, according to CNET.

This is Amazon's fourth year to hold the event. 'The idea is that if no concessions to the workers are made, that day will not take place'.
