Republican leaders in the House, including Speaker Paul Ryan, have been clear that they don't wish to impede the Mueller investigation.

At the time of his confirmation as Deputy Attorney General, he was the nation's longest serving US Attorney.

The failures cited within the articles include intentionally withholding embarrassing documents and information, knowingly hiding material investigative information from Congress, various abuses of the FISA process, and failure to comply with congressional subpoenas, among others. It's unclear if there will be a vote on the articles and lawmakers are due to leave soon for a multi-day recess.

Jordan, who also joined Meadows on "The Ingraham Angle", noted that he and other lawmakers sent Trump a letter "several weeks ago" asking him to "declassify the information" they sought and order the DOJ to "get us all the information".

The Department of Justice, under the supervision of Mr. Rosenstein, redacted the names of high-ranking Obama administration officials, such as former White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough. "It's time to impeach Rod Rosenstein".

Democrats have accused Republicans of trying to discredit the Justice Department, and, by extension, the special counsel's probe into Russian interference in the 2016 USA election.

Congressional committees have sought information concerning the Department of Justice's (DOJ) handling of high-profile investigations into allegations of collusion between President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, along with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server to conduct official US diplomatic business.

The impeachment articles come as evidence continues to mount regarding the Department of Justice's problematic decision-making during the 2016 campaign and conduct surrounding the transition to President Trump's administration in 2017.

Asked if Britain was stockpiling food, Raab said Tuesday: "It would be wrong to describe it as the government doing stockpiling". This was followed by the publication of the government's latest White Paper on Brexit , in early July .

Rosenstein says that's not true.

"The DOJ is keeping information from Congress", Jordan said, referring to the Department of Justice. The House passed a resolution last month demanding full compliance with the subpoenas.

DOJ and Federal Bureau of Investigation officials have also consistently defended their actions in surveilling Page.

North Carolina Republican Sen.

A House GOP aide told ABC News Wednesday night that the articles of impeachment were not filed as a "privileged resolution," meaning they can not force a vote on it on the House floor.

"Enough is enough", Jordan said in a statement on Wednesday.

Meadows accused Rosenstein of "stonewalling" Congressional oversight.

"We will be in a constitutional crisis if the president fires Rosenstein, the same as if he fires Bob Mueller", Norm Eisen, chair of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), concluded in a recent statement.
