Predicted 4-3-3 Manchester City Lineup Vs Arsenal

Manchester City begins its English Premier League title defense Sunday against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in London.

Another bonus for City was the performance of Benjamin Mendy, who made his first Premier League start since September following a cruciate knee ligament injury.

After a hard summer playing for England at the World Cup, during which his lack of success in front of goal resulted in much criticism, Sterling was superb against Arsenal, giving City the lead with an impressive driven finish from the edge of the box. It's the one thing that irks me when people say you must have a Premier League team, I absolutely, categorically don't.

"Comparing how we played against them last season, we gave them a game".

The victory was the ideal start to City's title defence as they aim to become the first team in a decade to win back-to-back Premier League titles.

"The way we won is so important for us, for our confidence, now we move forward".

Pep Guardiola said after the victory: 'We have a lot of players with a lack of condition but we are more than two seasons together and know what to do.

It's why the other emotion is that of being pleased for Danny that he has such a good move and his future is now very bright. But we won't just miss his character because he is a footballer who has all the tools.

The new boss spent the summer bolstering the back as he brought in defensive midfielder Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria, goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen and center back Sokratis from Borussia Dortmund.

"We are not going to judge what is going to happen after one game, but we try to respond, we try to be ourselves".

After the match, Emery said his players would need to make a vast improvement to achieve their ambitions.

Wenger left Arsenal in a mess after last season's sixth-place finish and Emery acknowledged the gulf in class between City and his team showed how much work he could do. I would expect us to perhaps sit deep (as most underdogs would) and narrow, limiting the space in behind and between the lines for Liverpool to create chances.

"He has this experience for defending our goal". He is working very well, he played also well in pre-season. Manchester City have given me a fantastic squad.

"In the first match it is good to play against Manchester City but it is also maybe a little more hard than our season will be".
