First footage of final "Game of Thrones" season revealed

Hidden among a ton of archive shots from season seven is a clip of Jon Snow reuniting with sister and Lady of the North Sansa Stark.

Following this furore, HBO programming president Casey Bluoys confirmed the series would be airing in the "first half" of 2019, yet fans stuck to the possibility of an April premiere. According to Metro, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss wanted time to craft the strongest season finale they could.

HBO has dropped a two-minute teaser trailer showcasing its upcoming projects including Game of Thrones, Big Little Lies, The Deuce, and more.

Along with stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern and Zoe Kravitz, Meryl Streep will join the show this season as Mary Louise Wright, the mother of the late Perry (Alexander Skarsgard).

This is for the fans clamouring for any morsel of the new season.

HBO also unveiled the first official trailer for the third season of True Detective starring Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali, Stephen Dorff, Carmen Ejogo, and Ray Fisher.
