VENOM: Tom Hardy Gets Intense On The Red Carpet

Actor Tom Hardy, who plays the alien symbiote Venom in the film, recently sparked a controversy with his comments that his favorite scenes haven't been included in the film.

Cape Town - Tom Hardy says the film industry is "superhero-movie heavy" after starring in upcoming Marvel release Venom.

The actor continued, "There are, like, 30 to 40 minutes' worth of scenes that aren't in this movie... all of them". Hardy was fond of some that displayed the dark comedy aspect and some puppeteering. I know the whole team has poured a lot of love into it, and I've really enjoyed it. It's a unusual state of affairs, but hey, that makes it the flawless movie for 2018.

It seems the stars of Venom are being unusually blunt as they spruik the movie in the lead-up to its release.

One thing everyone seems to agree on, however, is that compared with his costars, Tom Hardy gives a freakish performance as Eddie Brock, the reporter consumed by the alien symbiote called Venom.

The only startling moment in the thoroughly irredeemable Venom that makes you sit up and take notice comes at the 71-minute mark, when the sight of a disheveled, stubbly, sweaty and bloated Tom Hardy jolts you with the realization that here is the ideal actor to one day play Harvey Weinstein.

"I used that as a reference point for taking "Venom" as far as we could".

Injured Wang Heartbroken As Kontaveit, Sabalenka Reach Wuhan Final
Top-ranked in China , Wang had already made history by becoming the first local player to reach the Wuhan Open quarter-finals. In the day's other upset, second-ranked Caroline Wozniacki lost to Olympic champion Monica Puig 7-6 (12-10), 7-5.

Venom co-stars fellow British actor Riz Ahmed as villainous corporation owner Carlton Drake and Michelle Williams as Brock's former girlfriend.

"Things that aren't in this movie", replied Hardy.

"Venom is a Catwoman in the worst, with Tom Hardy who delivers his worst performance since Target".

"Me and the other executive producers know full well it has nothing to do with what's in that story".

Mike Ryan of Uproxx said: "I'm *fascinated* with VENOM". Part of me wonders if that's going to be how general audiences react, or if they'll buy into what Tom Hardy and Venom are selling. Is there an R-rated cut sitting there?

Venom IS a slightly ridiculous character (in the way many great comic book figures are), and while it's not clear just how much intent there was, it seems the movie itself is fairly ridiculous too.

"We only ever talked about this movie as being PG-13", Fleisher told
