Finally he's done it, and in striking style.

Usain Bolt scored a brace as he opened his Central Coast Mariners account in a 4-0 win against Macarthur South West United.

After having his shot spoiled by a defender, Bolt said moments like that weren't the end of the world. The two-goal hero was taken off on 75 minutes, being prevented from netting a hattrick. He broke out his signature pointing pose after knocking in his first goal, then delivered a Fortnite dance for his second, telling the media afterward that "scoring a goal in your first proper match, it's a big deal". "It was a great feeling I was happy about it". After a much-publicized training stint with German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in March, Bolt signed for the Mariners for an "indefinite training period" in August. Maybe Bolt's two goals on Friday will help seal the deal.

"All I can do is do what I wanted to do, prove myself", he said. He was even wearing No. 95 to signify his world record time of 9.58 seconds in the 100 meters.

Bolt could have ended up with more if not for some blunders in the first half wherein he missed easy headers. The 195cm Jamaican made a strong, well-timed run and jump at a left-wing cross from Tommy Oar, winning an aerial contest and putting a firm header just wide of the post.

"The coach told me, 'You will get chances".

"We want him probing behind defenders without the ball so we can play the ball into space behind the defenders and can get him on the end of crosses and through balls", Mulvey said. "You got to continue pushing till you get those chances, '" Bolt said.

"I think my movements and my touch [have improved]". He added: "I'm just excited to take it step by step and move forward".

Bolt, who holds eight Olympic gold medals in track and field, has pivoted to soccer.

It's unclear if Bolt will remain with the club to play in the Australian A-League this season.
