Canelo just signed a brand new $365 MILLION contract with the DAZN streaming video service to have 11 fights over the next 5 years. and a Floyd rematch would be a dream for the company.

Alvarez's deal is the richest athlete contract in sports history, eclipsing the 13-year, $325 million agreement that batter Giancarlo Stanton signed in 2014 with the Miami Marlins.

"He's extremely happy", Oscar De La Hoya, Alvarez's promoter, told ESPN after Alvarez signed early Wednesday.

Alvarez is coming off the biggest win of his career in September, a thrilling majority decision victory against Gennady "GGG" Golovkin to become the WBC, WBA, Lineal and Ring Magazine Middleweight champion.

The move comes after DAZN, which only launched in the USA in September, looks to exploit a gap in the market after HBO announced it will end its 45-year history of broadcasting boxing at the end of 2018. The journey begins Saturday, Dec. 15 when Canelo makes his first appearance at the historic Madison Square Garden challenging Rocky Fielding (27-1, 15 KOs) for his WBA Super Middleweight World Title.

Canelo Alvarez is living the high life.

"This is only from my hard work", said Alvarez, according to ESPN.

"They're the two most important fighters in the world", DAZN executive chairman John Skipper said.

The same employee was removed from an area near Boston's dugout before Game 1 of the ALCS. Sports Boston confirmed the report, and suggested this was not an isolated incident.

Mayweather himself looks to be eyeing up another massive pay day, telling TMZ Sports this week that a fight with UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was "happening" and that he would get a "nine-figure payday".

The streaming service charges $9.99 (£7.60) a month rather than one-off, pay-per-view fees. It cost $84.95 to be seen in high definition.

"At the same time, I am humbled to be selected to lead this new vision for the sport of boxing, which will without a doubt be for the benefit of the fans". If DAZN hits certain subscriber benchmarks, Alvarez will rake in additional cash.

Alvarez's first fight under the contract will coincide with his move to super middleweight.

Canelo was most recently aligned with USA broadcaster HBO but the network announced it would move away from live boxing coverage at the end of 2018.

Alvarez, 28, is from Mexico.

That deal included a total of 16 bouts each year across the United States on top of Matchroom's existing 16 fight nights in the UK.
