YouTube struggling to get back online after global outage

Now it turns out that Youtube had a major blackout.

On the YouTube mobile app, users saw the "Error loading / Tap to retry" error message when they attempted to play videos.

The video-sharing website has acknowledged the outage in a tweet.

A map on DownDetector, which tracks status information and outages for various types of services in real time, showed that users in the United States, Brazil, Japan, parts of Australia, Southeast Asia and Western Europe were affected. "We're working on resolving this and will let you know once fixed", the company account says. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated", Team YouTube posted.

The same employee was removed from an area near Boston's dugout before Game 1 of the ALCS. Sports Boston confirmed the report, and suggested this was not an isolated incident.

YouTube chief executive Susan Wojcicki also tweeted her own apology, saying "sorry to everyone who was impacted" and thanking the teams who resolved the issue.

Likewise, with all Google-operated administrations, genuine downtime for YouTube is really uncommon.

YouTube has apologised after technical issues took the site offline for more than an hour overnight on Wednesday.

This is a rare incident that has occured with the video channel Youtube. During the 2018 FIFA World Cup, YouTube TV - a paid livestreaming service - went down briefly during the match between Croatia and England.
