Blackout player count tweaked in latest Black Ops 4 patch

Activision's Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 has sold more than $500 million in sell-through worldwide in its first three days of release as the total number of players climbed from previous year. For comparison, last year's Call of Duty: WW II hit $1 billion in sales, but only after it had been on the market 47 days. Having surpassed $500 million, the newest title in the shooter franchise trounced last year's game while also selling double amount of copies on PC, and having twice as many players online from day one.

That's significant as successful launches aren't enough to dub a game a success these days. Our own Black Ops 4 review found that the three main modes were substantial enough to make up the difference, and the depth and breadth of the multiplayer offerings kept reviewer Kallie Plagge from missing the usual bombastic story mode.

At present, Black Ops 4 is now tied with sales of Call of Duty: WW2, which hit the same figure during its three-day release period in 2017. Over on Twitch, the game became the most viewed in franchise history.

While it did not break Grand Theft Auto V's record from 2013, it is still a huge achievement for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

What qualifies you for Native status is tribal membership. "It's really actively being a part of that culture". A Harvard Law spokesman also cited that factoid when the school came under fire for lacking diversity.

Talking about Blackout it is the first ever CoD Battle Royale to challenge the huge Battle Royale beasts PUBG and Fortnite!

"It is mechanics that glue Black Ops 4 together, then, rather than any particular theme, which helps each component drill down into what its good at".

As noted above and highlighted in the Black Ops 4 reddit, one of the big highlight's of the October 16 update is a shift in player count for Blackout. Committing to three full-fledged multiplayer modes was a necessary risk for making a Call of Duty game that will likely have longer legs than any installment before it. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on PlayStation®4 system, Xbox One, and PC on battle.net.
