Cowboys trading for Raiders WR Amari Cooper

Rumors had suggested Cooper was available on the trade market, and Dallas' weakness at wide receiver in its post-Dez Bryant era had been well-documented. Thompson finds himself as the fifth option among five, behind Cooper, Cole Beasley, Michael Gallup and Allen Hurns. He has impressive speed and is one of the NFL's best route-runners - capable of creating separation against both press and off coverage. A win in that game would have given Dallas the lead in the NFC East. Which leads one to believe Cooper and his 6-1 frame will be asked to line up outside for the most part.

Cooper, along with Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, now gives Dallas a QB-RB-WR offensive trio all under 25 years old.

The bottom line: Even as rookie receiver Michael Gallup emerges, he, Beasely, Tavon Austin, Allen Hurns and Deonte Thompson are not enough to pressure opposing defenses.

Now Cooper is expected to come in and save the Cowboys season with just nine games left. During his three full seasons with the Raiders, Cooper made the Pro Bowl twice, in 2015 and 2016, before taking a small step back during what was a down year for the team as a whole in 2017. The Eagles had apparently offered a second-round selection just last week.

Saudi Arabia calls Jamal Khashoggi killing a 'grave mistake'
They said the "hypotheses" proposed so far in the Saudi investigation need to be backed by facts to be considered credible. And what compounded the mistake was the attempt to try to cover up. "That is unacceptable to the government".

Jon Gruden doesn't often draw praise for his work as the Raiders' shadow GM.

The 1-5 Raiders acquired two first-rounders from the Bears for Khalil Mack this offseason after Gruden took over and started reshaping the franchise in his image.

"This is where we get a great opportunity to build", McKenzie said. The trade of Cooper has some serious dynasty ramifications.
