Liverpool will look to keep the pressure on at the top of the table with a win when they welcome Fulham to Anfield on Sunday lunchtime.

"It feels a bit like this season can only be a success if we become champions".

On his side's chances of winning a laurel this season, he added: "The season so far, points-wise, is really successful, but it doesn't feel like that because of two reasons - the comparison with free-flowing football last season, and because City and Chelsea are playing really good this season".

"We could have had more points but the boys have looked much more mature and all that stuff but not in the last game".

"When Jordan is not available we always miss him". We have to admit a lot of things are better than a year ago by the start of November, but spectacular football in each game hasn't happened.

"We go for everything but we have to build on our situation, to get more better and more confident".

The Netherlands worldwide started alongside Joel Matip in the centre of Liverpool FC's defence for their fourth Champions League fixture of the season.

Cameroon children freed after kidnapping
A video said to have been released by the kidnappers shows several young boy being forced to state their name to camera. It said that the separatists had set fire to at least 100 schools and taken them over as training grounds.

He said: "In general, the shape is good, we played a lot of really good games". I don't make a big fuss about it, just like I don't celebrate a good performance for five days. At the same time, the spectacular football in each game didn't happen but it didn't happen past year as well.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 26 Premier League home games, their longest such run since August 2009 (31 games). They are professional. I do not defend a corner.

"This is a really odd situation for Fulham, I can really imagine how they feel".

He said: "The process is going very well - I think you can see that also on the pitch".

Klopp said that midfielder Jordan Henderson and defender Joe Gomez were available for Sunday's clash after recovering from injury and the German singled out the former for his impact on the pitch.

The Reds face Fulham on Sunday afternoon hoping to sign off with a win ahead of the worldwide break to keep themselves within striking distance of Premier League leaders Man City. They caused City problems and are a really skilled team.

"You will never score a goal against a team like Fulham with the quality they have only because you go in the game with the wrong attitude and think about scoring, scoring, scoring or whatever".
