Manchester United will now turn their focus towards the small matter of their Premier League showdown against Manchester City in the top flight on Sunday afternoon at The Etihad.

"I lived in Barcelona for many years and know special derbies against Real Madrid, and in Germany against Borussia Dortmund like this weekend - it's special, I know that, but we have to be focused".

But since they took charge at United and City the relationship between Mourinho and Guardiola appears more cordial, with the Catalan happy to avoid the rows of the past. If you want to put that match into the context of where we are, where we can be, then it becomes even more hard. I usually always fancy them so much to win at home, but with United being so resilient I am going to go for a draw.

It also said the player does not get on with his team-mates and finally that he does not like Mourinho's management style.

Although the Red Devils eventually won the game 2-1, with Juan Mata and an Alex Sandro own goal overturning the result, many United fans have been left divided over the Portuguese's action during the game.

On CNN a year ago , Whitaker envisioned Trump reducing Mueller's budget "so low that his investigation grinds to nearly a halt". Sessions' firing immediately threw into question whether the 18 month old Mueller probe will be able to continue unimpeded.

"We will try especially to have a good game".

Yet United know they can hurt Guardiola's side, having come from behind to win 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium in April and delay their title party.

"They are a very good side, they play good football, they score a lot of goals in every game, but we also have our qualities which we have to use".

If City win they will be 12 points ahead of United, but Guardiola, who will be without Kevin De Bruyne, added: "Win or lose they are not out of it". They create two chances at set-pieces.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho: "If we keep conceding [opening] goals the day will arrive where we can not come back. I expect a hard game but, in a derby, everything is possible, and we will be ready for that".
