Both were modelled on real presenters, with one who speaks Chinese and another who speaks English. While liberating the productivity of the industry, "Sogou Separation" technology gives users better personalized audio and video effects, and AI technology is used to effectively improve people's life experience.

China's state-controlled news broadcasters have always been considered somewhat robotic in their daily recitation of pro-government propaganda and a pair of new presenters will do little to dispel that view.

The AI system uses the base image of a real newscaster, with machine learning technology recreating realistic speech patterns and facial movements akin to human counterparts, the South China Morning Post reports. The Xinhua news Agency reported that such leading can "work" 24 hours a day on your web site and in social media, reducing the cost of news production.

China's Xinhua news agency on Thursday unveiled the world's first artificial intelligence anchor that can read news in English and Chinese.

Xinhua News' English Twitter already shows the English-speaking AI anchor in action, covering stories about a museum exhibition at the World Internet Conference and China's plans to launch a Mars exploration in 2020.

Predicted XI: Manchester City vs Manchester United
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho: "If we keep conceding [opening] goals the day will arrive where we can not come back. It also said the player does not get on with his team-mates and finally that he does not like Mourinho's management style.

While Xinhua claims the virtual anchor is a world first, it is not the first time that Chinese media has experimented with AI technology.

The AI anchor looks like a male human and has the voice that sounds like a professional male news anchor. "I will work tirelessly to keep you informed as texts will be typed into my system uninterrupted", he added.

The AI anchors have the resemblance of human and can also make news delivery like real news anchors. He (yes, the AI news anchor) can collect data and learn to develop. This is my very first day in Xinhua News Agency.

The AI anchor has also started presenting news reports.
