A temperature of 65F (17C) by Thursday would beat the 61F (16C) expected in Madrid - while daytime highs of 46F (8C) expected in London next Monday would be below the 48F (9C) forecast for Vancouver in Canada. We will stay mostly cloudy and wind will be from the north at 10-15 miles per hour. Northwest wind 9 to 13 miles per hour. In much of the region, rain could be heavy at times after the change-over and could cause flooding throughout much of the Hudson Valley. Highs will warm into the 50s on Thursday. It will be cold, especially in the south, with this accentuated by the brisk wind. Up to one-tenth of an inch of accumulating ice due to freezing rain will be possible in patchy spots, which could lead to additional problems. As clouds decrease highs only reach the mid-30s.

As a cold front approaches us, cloud cover has increased while temperatures stay chilly throughout the day.

Tuesday - A chance of snow before 7 a.m., then a chance of snow showers, mainly between 7 a.m. and noon. It will be a cold day with temperatures running 15-20° below average (seasonal average: 54°), as sunshine works in by the afternoon. By Friday, we should be back up in the lower 60s. The rain will become more scattered Monday night through Tuesday morning with the rain ending Tuesday afternoon.

Rain showers will move into our area early on Monday morning, starting with light rain around 4AM for our southern counties in AL and GA. Temperatures drop below freezing overnight.

The Mirror reports Piers Corbyn, forecaster for WeatherAction, said: "An active low-pressure system will move in from the northwest next week signalling a change to much colder conditions".

Sunday should brighten up a bit, with partly sunny skies, a 30% chance of snow showers, and a high near 32 degrees.
