Progress of 'Star Wars' theme park revealed in teaser trailers

Composer John Williams will lend a touch of canon to the Star Wars-themed Galaxy's Edge at Disney theme parks, providing an original score for the attractions, it was announced today at a Disney-sponsored event in Orlando.

Disney additionally released two short teaser trailers of certain features of the park, including the Millennium Falcon. The video for Rise of the Resistance was shot in the actual attraction.

Beyond the rides and resort, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will also allow fans to stop by a street market in Black Spire Outpost, try franchise delicacies like blue milk, visit the Cantina, and more - all while interacting with various creatures and characters from the Star Wars universe. But if you want a taste of what to expect - besides knowing that you'll be able to get hammered in the Star Wars cantina - Disney has released a very brief clip of one of its attractions, called Rise of the Resistance.

New info has been unveiled for the upcoming Star Wars theme park at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. We know the concept of the hotel is very Westworld in that guests are given Star Wars-appropriate identities and even costumes, and these new images reveal the shuttle pod that transports guests from Earth to their hotel in space.

Dates: The park will open in 2019 at Disneyland and in fall 2019 at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.
