The former Roma forward opened the scoring for Liverpool against Watford at Vicarage Road before wheeling away and placing his hands across his chest in a startling similar fashion to Ramos.

"It's nice. The 33 points are brilliant". "He played three of the last four I think and did well, it's all good".

Fans on social media took it as a mocking gesture, but Liverpool manager Klopp claimed to be none the wiser, saying: 'I have no problem with the question but I didn't see his celebration, I was celebrating myself'. A scrappy finish from Mohamed Salah, a glorious Trent Alexander-Arnold free kick from long range and a clincher by Roberto Firmino were enough for a 3-0 win at Vicarage Road, keeping them just in touch with Man City.

Klopp also confirmed Daniel Sturridge is available to face Watford and has not been affected by an FA charge over alleged breaches of betting rules, with captain Jordan Henderson also in contention to be selected. That's good actually. And I shouldn't have made any comment to it.

"You play in a defensive-midfield situation and I don't know how many challenges Hendo had or situations where he had to be closing the player or space".

"It was a closer game than the scoreline but they are a very good team and they are able to do this".

'It was clear he could be rested and can recover more, and then he is ready for Wednesday again'.

"It's just the insane world out there where if a player doesn't play in the last five games, you open kind of a transfer market".

Salah, 26, has emerged as one of Europe's most prolific forwards since joining the Reds from AS Roma in June a year ago for a reported €42m. We really controlled it today. I like that. I know a few people miss one or two situations which we had in the last season, especially the second part of the season. They had moments, they had counter-attacks and you can not avoid that.

"It ended 3-0 and I don't think any Liverpool supporter would have wanted another result or another performance".

More recently, Ramos was on Friday accused of failing to turn up for a doping test after Real's 3-1 Champions League win in a football leaks report, which added fuel to the feud between the two sets of supporters.
