I’ve heard that – when it comes to coaching strategies – NFL personalities will say that the NFL is a “copycat” league. The definition here – not meant to be taken as negatively as it would be if spoken in a childhood context – is that good coaches take particular strategies they like and use or adapt them to fit their teams’ needs. In wrestling, I suppose booking for a promotion can follow the same “copycat” mentality.

As recently seen on WWE Monday Night Raw, a new stable was formed featuring Xavier Woods, Big E, and Kofi Kingston. Current TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley – a two time ECW World Heavyweight Champion (when ECW was a brand extension of WWE) – believes that this idea is a copy of the stable that he, Kenny King, and MVP are using in TNA. Lashley took to Twitter with his comments, saying:
“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”

Perhaps Bobby Lashley isn’t alone in his thinking.
