WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan recently gave an interview to Brian Fritz of the Orlando Sentinel. In the interview, Hogan admitted that he was embarrassed by some of his matches in WCW and TNA, but would still like to return to the ring in WWE. Hogan said:
"The thing is, I watch the old tapes of myself, WCW, and it's embarrassing because toward the end I was getting to where it was embarrassing to kind of like be in there and then I watch the TNA (Wrestling) stuff and that was a nightmare. I tried to get in there, I was in the middle of back surgeries trying to keep up. The doctors would say "you'll be fine' but to watch it now it is embarrassing."
"Not that Vince would want this, not that Triple H would want this, but I keep telling everybody that's my goal, because I'm not in pain anymore, that my goal would be to get back in there, not embarrass myself if that's possible, and have that one more match. And if that works, if that really were to work I would love to contribute and participate and do some stuff because I miss it so much."
Other highlights of the interview are that Hogan stated his deal with WWE is for three years, and his desire to face John Cena in a match. You can read the full interview at OrlandoSentinel.com
Bill's Comments: Even at 61, Hogan facing Cena makes sense only from a financial standpoint more than anything else. The match would suck, but it would draw a ton of eyes. Personally, I think if Hogan does want that one more match, it would make sense for him to do so as a tag team partner with someone to limit his exposure and still give him the in-ring moment he's looking for. Worth noting that TNA thought Hogan was going to make it back to face Bully Ray - but that never happened.
