Curtis Axel, who was formerly known as Michael McGuillicutty, and born as Joe Hennig, Curt Hennig's son, has returned to TV.
Heyman formerly announced that the new name is a combination of his father's given name, Curtis, and his grandfather's Larry "The Axe" Hennig.
Axel has spent quite a bit of time off television, working in developmental. Paul Heyman and WWE are acknowledging his past, and his theme music is even a remix of his father's tune.
Surprisingly, after interrupting Paul Heyman, Triple H announced he will face Axel in a match. It will be very interesting to see how they position Axel in the match, especially with JBL praising his in-ring work.
