Randy Orton attacked at a live event in South Africa, turns out to be a PR stunt
WWE star Randy Orton was reportedly attacked while at a WWE Live event in Cape Town, South Africa. There is video footage of what appeared to be a fan running into the ring after Orton's match, and hitting him with a low blow from behind before being restrained by security and the referee.
Orton sells the move at first, then appears to understand what was going on and manages to get up to walk over to confront the attacker. WWE.com later reported that the "fan" had been arrested.
Later on, TMZ revealed that this is just a PR stunt - the "fan" is actually a local indy wrestler named Tshepo Sekhabi. He locally wrestles under the name "Jozi the Wrestling Machine" and was only kicked out of the event, not arrested. He also used the opportunity to get noticed, quote: "I just don’t like Randy Orton; this was an opportunity for me ... so I got up there and made a name for myself."
