WWE NXT is airing on the WWE Network as we speak, and because I work silly hours, I am here to cover the show for you - on a delayed and abbreviated basis - starting right now.

- No story opening. Straight to the music.

- Tyler Breeze comes out to open the show. He's facing Angelo Dawkins.  Dawkins gets in an early surprise, but Breeze attacks pretty fiercely.  He tosses Dawkins outside the ring.  He rolls him into the ring, nails The Beauty Shot, and it's over.  Tyler Breeze wins.

- After the match, he tosses Dawkins outside the ring again.  He grabs a mic and his phone.  He says "Well that was annoying."  He didn't plan to have a match.  He just came out to show us this: A clip of his distraction last week on Adrian Neville during his match against Rusev. Breeze continues and says he's got a monumental announcement - he submitted his music video for an Oscar Nomination for the Documentary Category.  Funny.  He offers to show the music video again, but instead, Adrian Neville's music hits.

- Neville says he doesn't want to watch his video, but he does want to ask a question: When are you going to stop delaying the inevitable and having Neville beat him in the ring for the title.  Breeze makes a Hobbit crack.  Neville says his mom sent him a snapchat selfie.  Ohhhh snap!  They brawl and Neville gets the better of the exchange.  Breeze heads up the ramp.

- Pretty good segment!  The match was just a lead into this.

- Backstage, Natalya interviews about Adam Rose returning to NXT.  She's excited.  Tyson Kidd interrupts, calls Rose a circus clown.  Nattie calls him rude and tells him to stop acting like a lemon.  Kidd challenges Rose to a match.

- Back to the arena, our announcers advertise a #1 Contender's Tag Team Championship tournament, starting next week.

- Our NXT Women's Champion, Charlotte, walks out to the ring.  She's wrestling Becky Lynch, who thankfully is NOT skipping her way to the ring.  New music.  I like it.

- The announcers really put over Becky Lynch here.  Nice matwork from Lynch.  Charlotte rolls through a headlock takedown.  Nice kick in the corner.  Charlotte catches her with an elbow.  She works the leg and hits a sloppy dragon screw takedown.  Charlotte ties up the leg and bridges it.  Charlotte attacks the leg some more.  Cover attempts, and Charlotte continues to isolate the leg.  Classic stuff here.  Becky finally counters and gets a cover attempt, but she's cut off.  Charlotte hits her finisher and it's over.  Charlotte wins.

- Strong match for Charlotte, but Becky came away looking pretty good too.

- Backstage, Mojo Rawley is hyped.  He wants a tag team partner for the Tag Team tourney.  Bull Dempsey approaches.  He's pained by the thought, but he's willing to team up with Mojo.  He threatens him - if Mojo screws up, he's toast.

- The Ascension comes out to the ring.  They're facing enhancement talent, naturally.  Steve Cutler and Mack Miles.  This will be over quick.

- It was over quick.  Fall of Man for the win.

- After the match, Viktor cuts a promo.  He says they're the longest reigning champions in NXT History.  He talks about the number one contender tournament.  "I think we all know what those victim's fate is destined to be."  Konnor says "Total Annihilation."  Emphasis on the "Yah."

- During the commercials, there's a vignette for CJ Parker.

- Mojo Rawley heads out to the ring for his first tag match with Bull Dempsey.  He's hyped.  Bull is not.  This is not part of the tourney, by the way.  They're facing "The Mechanics," a new team.  Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson.

- A mechanic is also someone ultra-capable in the ring.

- Dawson and Dempsey start it out.  Mojo tags himself in.  He's hyped.  Watch out.  Wrist lock.  Dawson rolls through and tags in Wilder.  Quick tags back and forth.  Wilder in, working the arm.  Mojo gets an opportunity and tags in Dempsey.  He clears the ring and hits his finisher out of nowhere.

- They're playing the Odd-Couple card here.  Not convinced yet, but hey, let's give it a shot.  The name of The Mechanics didn't go unnoticed by me, and while they tried to put them over as fixers, if you ever listen to Steve Austin talk, he frequently puts himself over as a "ring mechanic."  Dawson looked like he had some potential.  Didn't see enough of Wilder.

- Backstage, Bayley talks about how she defeated Charlotte weeks ago.  She wants a title shot.  Charlotte interrupts, delivers a pretty dry promo about it being in her best interest to avoid Charlotte.

- Adam Rose skips and dances with the Rosebuds.  Tyson Kidd heads out, joined by Natalya.  I'm kind of surprised, frankly. They lock up and Rose goes for an early pin.  Rose goes for an arm lock, Kidd uses the ropes to work out of it.  Rose slaps him on the rear, then approaches Nattie, giving her "the eye."  He hands her a lollypop, and she takes it.  Tyson ducks out of the ring and takes it from her.  He's upset.

- The fans chant "party pooper" as the two exchange blows in the corner.  Rose unloads and kicks Kidd in the face.  Nice snap suplex, only worth one.  Action spills outside the ring, and Rose hits a baseball slide through the ropes.  Natalya checks on Kidd as we go to break.

- Back from commercial, Kidd gets the best of Rose, sending him over the top rope.  Kidd slams Rose into the ring post.  Let's do it twice, shall we?  He hits a legdrop across the back of the head, on the apron.  Two-count. Rose goes for a sleeper, Kidd drops him on his chin.  He hands Rose upside down in the corner, stretching the neck.  Ouch!  Headlock in the middle of the ring, the ref checks Rose to see if he's still with it.  He is.  Rose drops Kidd back.  Rose fires up and hits some punches.  Running clothesline in the corner.  Rose gets kicked in the gut, but Rose hits a nice spine buster for two.  Rose goes for the Party Foul, Kidd rolls through.  He goes for the Sharpshooter, and Rose grabs the ropes, but Kidd slingshots him into the middle rope.  Kick to the outside.  He rolls Rose back in.  Kidd and Nattie chat a bit, and Rose uses it to roll Kidd up out of nowhere.  Cradle for the pin, and he wins.  Adam Rose wins.

- In the ring, Nattie approaches and tries to talk to Kidd.  Kidd just shakes his head in frustration.  She tells him she loves him, he walks away.

- Good show overall.  I enjoyed the main event, and the ladies put on a pretty solid match as well.  Worth watching, I'd say!

- Thanks for reading, folks!  See you next week!
