Hey everyone!  Drew Koscelek here, for another episode of NXT!

I’m having some trouble with the network, running the episode on a delay on my end.  They really need to fix some of these kinks.  When I click “Play from Beginning,” that’s exactly what it should do.  Ah well…

Our main event is a tag team match to determine the #1 Contender for the NXT Tag Championship: The Vaudevillians vs. Sin Cara & Kalisto.  Plus, all four men in the Fatal Fourway match will be in action as well!

Here we go!

Alexa Bliss vs. Charlotte

Charlotte with an early headlock.  Bliss goes up top and flips out of an arm drag attempt.  Impressive flippy stuff, but Charlotte cuts her off with a gut buster.  Charlotte goes for a power bomb, Bliss flips out and rolls her up.  Charlotte gets pissed and hits Bow Down to the Queen for the win.

Winner:  Charlotte

Highlight match for the champ.

After the match, Bayley hits the ramp.  She walks to the ring and steps in, grabs a mic, and says Charlotte refused to shake her hand last week.  Bayley says she earned this opportunity, and it’s time she starts taking her seriously, because at NXT Takeover, “I am seriously taking your title.”  She extends a hand.  Charlotte considers it, and facepalms her.  Bayley hits a Belly-to-Bayley suplex on her, sending Charlotte packing.

Backstage segment with Tyler Breeze talking about how he will win the NXT Championship.  He’s in a match, up next!

Backstage, Kalisto and Sin Cara interview, hyping up their match.  Sin Cara talks in Spanish.  Kalisto translates.

Tye Dillinger vs Tyler Breeze

The announcers do a nice job of putting over Tye Dillinger, who’s looking pretty sharp in the match.  He hits an atomic drop and a chop, and he goes for a cover, for one.  He telegraphs a sunset flip and gets kicked.  Breeze takes advantage and unloads with kicks in the corner.  Headlock on Dillinger.  Dillinger fires back and hits some offense, but Breeze nails him with the beauty shot out of nowhere.  It’s over.

Winner: Tyler Breeze

Another pretape, this with Tyson Kidd.  He puts himself over wonderfully.  He faces Adam Rose, next!

Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady show up at a hair studio in Queens.  They’re on the hunt for hair removal cream.  Cassady poses in the mirror.  Anyhow, he and Enzo start fighting over the bucket of hair removal cream.  They end up pouring it over a dog.  The concept was stupid, but for what it was, it was pretty well executed, and stuff like that could help these two guys get over.  I enjoyed the segment.  Then again, I’m freaking exhausted.

Tyson Kidd vs. Adam Rose

The two men lock up.  Rose kicks out of a head scissors.  Kidd cuts him off in the corner.  Kick hits a neck breaker for two, then nails Rose with elbows and kicks to the head.  Snap suplex for two.  Rose gets some offense and lands a spine buster.  He goes for the corner.  Kidd dropkicks out his leg, then sets him up for a Sharpshooter.  Rose taps out.

Winner:  Tyson Kidd

Another pretaped video, this time with Sami Zayn.  He talks about his desire to pin Adrian Neville, specifically.

The Vaudevillians cut a promo backstage, black and white effects and all.  Aiden English says they’re cut above all tag teams.  He puts over both of them.  Gotch simply says “Excelsior.”  Ok.

Sami Zayn vs. Marcus Louis (w/ Sylvester Lefort)

Louis gets an early wristlock.  Zayn reverses it.  Louis goes for an early cover.  He pulls Zayn’s hair and clinches a headlock.  Zayn nails a kick and a few clotheslines.  We’re going into second gear now.  Koji Clutch out of nowhere, and Louis taps.

Winner: Sami Zayn

After the match, Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore attack Louis and Lefort.  They have the wax bucket, and tease sending him face first into it.  He escapes.

Last pre-tape, Adrian Neville talks about why he chose the Fatal Fourway match, and says he likes to take risks.

CJ Parker vs. Adrian Neville

This is an Adrian Neville highlight reel.  Neville is all over the place.  Parker gets in a bit of offense.  It’s short lived.  Neville drills Parker with a dropkick. He heads up top and hits Red Arrow for the win.

Winner: Adrian Neville

Sin Cara & Kalisto vs. The Vaudevillians in a #1 Contenders Match for the NXT Tag Team Championship

Kalisto and English start out.  They jockey for the advantage.  Kalisto hits a headlock takedown for a one-count.  Kalisto goes up top and hits a tornado arm drag.  Tag to Sin Cara.  Nice double-team from both men.  Sin Cara gets two. Gotch in the ring, he gets monkey flipped out of the corner, but gets caught in the ropes.  He sends Sin Cara out of the ring.  Back in the ring, tag to English.  English misses a shoulder in the corner.  Sin Cara heads up and hits a cross-body.  Both men are out.

Hot tags all around. Kalisto and Gotch in the ring.  Kalisto is on fire.  Kneeling hurricarana.  Two-count.  Sin Cara sends English out of the ring and follows over the top.  Kalisto unloads with kicks.  Gotch catches a springboard, but Kalisto hits his finisher to Gotch, tags in Sin Cara, who nails the top rope Senton for the win.

Winners: Sin Cara & Kalisto for the #1 Contendership for the NXT Tag Titles

Fast-paced match, could’ve used a little more time, in my opinion.

After the match, The Ascension hit the ramp, standing tall, belts in hand.

Overall, a good build to Takeover.  Logical booking, keeping the top matches strong.  The announcement of KENTA making his debut is no joke, and adds to the excitement.

We will have LIVE coverage of NXT Takeover next week.  Be sure to tune in!  Thanks for reading!
