TNA has made a shift in their announce team for iMPACT. Todd Keneley has been dropped from the three man booth. It is reported that Keneley was informed at Slammiversary of the change, and it appears that was his final appearance on television.
Keneley was brought in by Eric Bischoff and debuted in October of 2012. In the report, it was noted that this was not because of dissatisfaction with his work, but rather just an attempt to streamline the announce team. TNA will be reverting back to the two man booth of Taz and Mike Tenay going forward.
I think this is a good move. Keneley wasn't a bad announcer, but the booth did feel too cluttered at times. His initial presence got Taz and Tenay motivated again though.
