Unhinged bloke Dereck “Del Boy” Chisora finished American Malik Scott in the sixth round to earn the WBO International Heavyweight Championship yesterday afternoon at Wembley Arena in London.

Nicknamed “King,” the 6-foot-5, 232 pound Scott (35-1-1, 12 KOs) was handling Chisora (17-4, 11 KOs) throughout the affair.

However, the 6-foot-2, 242 pound Chisora eventually landed a solid overhand punch that left Scott woozy on the canvas.

"I thought, 'If I catch him he's going to go down', and I caught him,” said Chisora, 29, a longstanding lawbreaker who was found guilty of domestic abuse in November 2010.

Although the native Philadelphian praised Chisora, Scott did criticize referee Victor Loughlin.

"He hit me with a good shot," admitted Scott, 32. "I gave myself an eight, got up at nine and everywhere in America the count goes up to 10. Everyone knows I beat the count but Dereck won a fair fight and we're not going to turn this into something."

Following “Del Boy’s” triumph, promoter Frank Warren revealed Chisora will next scrap Deontay Wilder on September 21.

Rather than throwing fists in the autumn, perhaps Dereck Chisora should forever shelve his gloves and seek the help of a respected psychiatrist.
