As most of the wrestling world has discovered, WWE recently signed Japanese superstar Kenta (real name: Kenta Kobayashi) to its roster. David Bixenspan – lead writer at Figure Four Weekly - recently tried to summarize at the Bleacher Report what fans can expect to see:
“Overall, what you should expect is someone with an aggressive style that allows him to ‘wrestle bigger’ than he actually is. I don’t necessarily envision Kenta in the main event mix beyond maybe some showcase matches with Bryan upon his return from his neck injury, whenever that is, but he’s good enough and adaptable enough to do well from himself.”
I too would be very surprised to see Kenta get involved in the main event mix early on. Yet with WWE’s established history of risky creative decisions, anything’s possible.
