  • Nice video package highlighting Daniel Bryan's rise, from NXT, to WWE World Heavyweight Champion.  It's the same video that highlighted Daniel Bryan last night, at Wrestlemania 30, with the addition of stills from Wrestlemania 30.
  • This crowd is bananas already, and I love it.
  • Daniel Bryan comes out to the ring, wearing the Big Gold Belt and holding the WWE Title.  Good stuff.
  • Daniel Bryan has the plates on the title, so this is gonna stick.
  • The fans chant his name as he stands in the middle of the ring.  He soaks it all in.  He asks the fans to be careful they don't hit their neighbors with their chants.  He says we don't know how hard it is to chant Yes! with two titles.  He does it one more time, but he needs to give his shoulders a break.
  • The fans break out with a "You deserve it" chant.  Bryan looks like he's gonna tear up.  He says the fans are the ones that deserve it.  He says because of the fan's power, he went into Wrestlemania, beat The Authority, and won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
  • Triple H comes out, with Stephanie McMahon in tow.  The fans chant "Asshole" at him.
  • Trips says he's not gonna step in the ring, because he doesn't want to do something to him he'll regret.
  • Daniel Bryan cuts him off, walks over to him and raises both titles in his face as the fans chant "Yes!"  Pretty awesome.
  • Triple H tells him to enjoy the moment because it won't last, and it won't make it through the night.  He tells Bryan he's going to defend the title tonight against Triple H.
  • Triple H says he's going to put an end to this crap, and put an end to the fans.  He says the reality is it's his show, and there's not a damn thing he can do about it.
  • Trips walks away as Daniel Bryan raises his hands in the air.  Yes!  Yes!
    • Good segment.  The fans got what they wanted, Bryan cut a good promo, and Triple H showed awesome fire as a man hell-bent on vengeance.
  • Kick it to the announcers, who discuss The End of The Streak.  Brock Lesnar is here tonight.  We'll be hearing from him, but first, a commercial.

  • After break, still photos from Wrestlemania 30, including The Rock, The Undertaker, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, and Daniel Bryan.
  • Backstage, Stephanie McMahon gives Triple H a pep talk.  Batista comes up to him and wants to know what the hell is going on.  Batista wants his one-on-one match.  Randy Orton wants his rematch tonight.  Triple H says no.  Stephanie says they're right, and they'll settle it after Raw, but tonight, Batista and Orton are facing The Usos for the WWE Tag Team Championships.
  • Orton and Batista aren't interested in those belts.  Triple H reminds them when they're on the same page, noone can stop them.

  • Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family come out to the ring.  Michael Cole puts over Bray's match against John Cena last night. The fans are loving his theme song, clapping along.
  • Bray sits down, blows out his lamp, then heads to the ring.  Looks like we've got a 6-man tag match coming up next: Bray Wyatt & Erick Rowan & Luke Harper vs. John Cena & Sheamus & Big E Langston.
    • I'm glad that Batista and Orton addressed the elephant in the room early on.  I'm hoping, however, they don't wind up winning the Tag Titles.
  •  Sheamus and Big E are waiting at the end of the ramp when we come back from break.  John Cena gets a full intro on stage. The fans are chanting something, but I have no idea what they're saying.
  • Cena runs to the ring and all three roll in. It's a brawl!  Looks like Cena and Wyatt end up becoming the legal men.  Wyatt gets a huge right hand and drops Cena down.
  • The fans are really behind The Wyatts.  Every punch Cena gets in, gets a boo.  Tag to Sheamus. Bulldog from Cena into the shoulder block from Sheamus.
  • It sounds like "Let's go Wyatt," but I'm not sure.  Tag to Erick Rowan.  They're booing everything Sheamus does.  Tag to Big E Langston.
  • The fans seem split about Big E.  Three back breakers.  The fans were impressed.
  • Tag to Luke Harper, who the fans are really into.  It's Cena and Harper now.  Cena goes for the AA, but Harper picks him up and tosses him down face first.  Tag to Wyatt as we go to break.
  • Harper and Cena are in the ring after the break.  Cena goes for another AA on Harper, but Harper drops him into a DDT instead.  Tag to Erick Rowan.  The fans are chanting "He's got the whole world in his hands."  Funny.  Tag to Bray, who stomps a mudhole in Cena.  They start singing "John Cena sucks."  Funny.  Bray gets a near fall.
  • Tag to Harper.  Harper's got control until a back body drop out of nowhere.  Hot tag to Sheamus.  Tag to Rowan.  Sheamus goes crazy.  Rolling senton onto Rowan.  Sheamus hits a diving shoulder block from the top rope.  He starts mocking Bray Wyatt.  He gears up for the Brogue Kick, but Wyatt and Harper distract him, and Rowan gets the tag.  Tag to Bray, tag to Big E.  Big E hits the Big Splash, then drops the strap.  Luke Harper sneaks in and takes out Big E.  Erick Roward takes out John Cena.  Harper dives out onto Sheamus.  It's Wyatt and Big E in the ring now.  Wyatt does the crab walk.  "Bray is gonna kill you."
  • Sister Abigail and Bray Wyatt scores the pinfall victory for The Wyatt Family.
  • John Cena sits on the ramp, staring in disbelief.  The Wyatts pose in the middle of the ring.  "Follow The Buzzards."
    • Really fantastic match, but I think the crowd took it to that next level.
  • The Announcers talk about our main event later this evening, then plug WWE Slam City, then we go to commercial.

  • After break, we get a fantastic vignette for Bo Dallas.  Impossible doesn't mean impossible.  It means "I'm Possible."  I love it.
  • The fans get their day-after-Wrestlemania fix. Fandango & Summer Rae come out to the ring for a mixed tag match.  They'll be squaring off against Santino & Emma.
  • I missed the start of this because of Gary Oldman.  Don't ask.  Anyhow, Emma and Summer are in the ring.  Emma locks in the Dilemma, which is basically a tarantula.  She lands the Emma-mite Sandwich, then goes for the Emma lock submission.  Santino keeps Fandango out of the ring.  Summer Rae taps out to Emma's Emma-lock.
  • After the match, Santino and Emma dance.  They tease Brock Lesnar up next.
    • Quick match, not much to it.  A better showcase of Emma than we have seen to this point.

  • More photos from Wrestlemania 30, including Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and Hulk Hogan, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, and Daniel Bryan.
  • Speaking of Brock Lesnar, his music kicks in.  Lesnar has a black eye.  He's wearing his "Eat Sleep Break The Streak" shirt.
  • Poor timing in the fireworks.  Whoops.  Photo highlights of last night. The announcers discuss Undertaker's concussion last night.
  • Paul Heyman takes the mic.  Lots of boos.  "Ladies and gentleman, my name is Paul Heyman, and it is the greatest priviliage of my career to serve as the advocate for the beast incarnate, BROCKKK LESNAR, the conqueror of The Undertaker's Streak."
  • Heyman says The Streak lasted nearly a quarter of a century, and ended in 3 seconds.  The fans chant "Bullshit."  Heyman starts ripping into the fans, tells them he told us so, and read off Brock's shirt.  Heyman puts himself and Lesnar over hardcore here.
  • Heyman says "Brock Lesnar is not here to put smiles on people's faces.  Brock Lesnar is here to shock the WWE Universe and put tears in the eyes of children."  Amazing.
  • Heyman says he's going to shoot from the hip for a bit.  He says The Undertaker collapsed backstage.  He puts over Vince McMahon leaving Wrestlemania and going to the hospital.  Heyman says the greatest thing The Undertaker ever did was not kick out after the third F5.  He says Brock wasn't done until The Streak was dead.
  • Heyman busts on the balls of JBL, Michael Cole, the fans, and Hulk Hogan.  I can't transcribe this fast enough.  It's AMAZING.
  • Heyman says everyone in the audience is exactly like the men backstage in the locker room - a bunch of wannabe's.  He busts on the fans who fly from around the world and wave their arms trying to get noticed on TV.
  • Heyman starts listing the names of people that never fought in The Octagon.  Daniel Bryan, John Cena, The Undertaker.  But Brock Lesnar did.
  • Heyman lists Lesnar's wrestling credentials, and compares him to Hogan, The Rock, Austin.
  • He says noone else could break the streak and calls Lesnar "The One" in 21-1.
  • Heyman says there's WWE Superstars and Legends, but they're all plural, all lumped together.  There's only one Beast Incarnate - Brock Lesnar  They leave the ring.
    • Holy shit.  That may have been the best promo of Paul Heyman's career.  Seriously.  I missed so much stuff in my transcription.  Seek this one out, folks.

  • After commercial we get a promo for Adam Rose.  Wow, that was quick.
  • Randy Orton & Batista face off against The Usos for the WWE Tag Team Championship next.  The Champs come out second.  Surprisingly this was not a big-feel entrance.
  • The Usos have beads in their pockets instead of towels.  Funny.  Rapid fire tags early on.  The fans chant for Y2J and CM Punk.  Wrong.  Both Usos get tossed out of the ring.  They get tossed into the steps, DDT'd outside, and all sorts of terrible things.
  • The referee counts  to 10 and the match ends in no contest.  Batista hits a powerbomb onto the steps.  They get back into the ring.  Orton and Batista have a word, then raise their arms in the air.
    • Old fashioned squash match, I guess.  Terrible for The Usos.  I hope they get their revenge.

  • After commercial more Wrestlemania 30 still photos.
  • Rob Van Dam returns to WWE completely unannounced.  Damien Sandow is in the ring, awaiting certain defeat.
  • Every time RVD starts doing the thumb point, Sandow attacks him and cuts him off.  Fantastic. Sandow hits his drop elbow.
  • Action spills out of the ring, and RVD has the advantage.  RVD sets Sandow up on the barricade, hits his thumb point, and does a spin kick off the apron.
  • "You still got it."  Uh...
  • RVD hits Rolling Thunder, then goes up top.  5-Star Frog Splash.  It's over.  Rob Van Dam gets the win.
    • A disappointing return that will get lost in the shuffle.  Poor Sandow.

  • Rey Mysterio comes out to the ring after the break.  He'll be squaring off against the returning Bad News Barrett.  The fans seem pleased.
  • The bell rings, but before the match starts, Barrett says he's got some bad news.  Rey Mysterio takes advantage and sends Barrett tumbling outside.
  • Rey hits that sliding splash to the floor onto Barrett.  That spot is always cool.
  • Barrett starts getting some offense and he plays up to the crowd.  Barrett hits The Winds of Change for a near fall.
  • Barrett tosses Rey up onto the ropes and hits a running knee in the corner.  Nice.  I have no idea what the fans are chanting.
  • Rey hits a tornado DDT.  He sets Barrett up for a 619, and it connects.  The fans do not want.  Rey heads up top, but Barrett takes the legs out from him.
  • Barrett hits the Bull Hammer Elbow for the three-count.
    • Short match.  Nice return for Bad News Barrett, who's been on TV but out of action for a while now.  It's the perfect crowd to bring him back to.  Poor Rey.
  • The announcers put over the WWE Raw debut for Alexander Rusev.  We go to break.

  • Another vignette for Adam Rose.  They're pushing him hard.
  • Lana walks out to the ramp to announce Alexander Rusev.  He's facing Zack Ryder.
  • Rusev lays into Zack Ryder immediately.  He's using Muay Thai kicks.  Ryder gets in a bit of offense, but it's short lived.
  • "Rusev, CRUSH!"  Lana barks orders.  Rusev locks in The Accolade, which is, basically, the Camel Clutch.  Zack Ryder submits
    • Squash match to introduce Rusev to the Raw crowd.  I'm ok with it.

  • Highlights from the WWE Hall of Fame.  They cut out the part where Mr. T thanked his mother.
  • WWE did a good job of making the Hall of Fame seem exciting.  It wasn't.  We go to break.

  • More stills from Wrestlemania.
  • The Ultimate Warrior comes out to the ring.  No, seriously.  Not sure where this came from, but he's got a Warrior jackets.  He shakes the ropes a bit.  "Speak to me Warriors."  He says he's not sure what he was going to say.  He pulls out a mask and starts cutting a promo in character.  He says no talent becomes a legend on their own.  He talks about the spirit carrying through the fans, how they've made the legend of The Ultimate Warrior.  He says the fans will decide if the other wrestlers backstage live with the passion of The Ultimate Warrior.
    • I tried to transcribe it, but I fell behind.  It was one of the more coherent Warrior promos though, and really wasn't that bad.  In fact, I'm ok with it.

  • AJ Lee and Tamina Snuka head out to the ring.  AJ takes a mic and talks about the 295 days she's held the WWE Divas Championship.  She's the longest reigning champ of all time.  She says last night the Divas in the match proved that she is the hero of the story.  She says it's always been AJ Lee vs. The World.  "I've gone from being a poor girl in New Jersey to being the Best Diva in the World."
  • Paige interrupts and shit is about to get real.  The audience chants for Paige.  She says she came out to do what no one else would.  She congratulates AJ.
  • AJ says she doesn't need her congratulations.  She tells her to go back to NXT.  She doesn't like being interrupted.  AJ says since she's dressed up, why doesn't AJ just beat her?  Paige says she's not ready, so AJ slaps the shit out of her.  She says they're gonna have a match, and she even puts her title on the line.
  • AJ Lee vs. Paige for the WWE Divas Title is actually happening.  AJ Lee goes on the attack immediately.  She goes for the Black Widow early on.  Paige swings out of it hits the Paige Turner out of nowhere for the win.  Paige is the new Divas champ.
    • I love the idea of Paige defeating the smart-ass AJ Lee, but I did not like the way that match played out at all.  It looked like Paige's win was a fluke, not a hard-fought victory.  AJ Lee looked like a chump.  They would've benefitted from even another minute of action.  They couldn't spare an extra minute?

  • After break, another Bo Dallas video.  I'm enjoying these.
  • We get a recap of Paige's win.
  • We get a nice closeup of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Trophy.
  • Hulk Hogan heads out to the ring to present the trophy. The fans love them some Hulk.
  • "Let me tell you something, Brother."  He talks about the Battle Royal last night, and name drops The Superdome.  Good job, brother.  Hogan puts over The Battle Royal.  He says he thought about The Big Show in the match, and thought about Andre The Giant.
  • Hogan introduces Cesaro, who comes out to the ring accompanied by Zeb Colter.
  • Cesaro poses next to the trophy.  He shakes the hand of Hulk Hogan then takes the mic.  The fans chant his name, but Zeb Colter takes the mic from him.  Colter says "Let a real American talk here."  Zeb puts himself over and says he brought Cesaro into the fold.  He made him a Real American, and a Zeb Colter guy.  Cesaro takes the mic.
  • "I'm sorry Zeb, I'm not a Zeb Colter guy.  I'm a Paul Heyman guy." Paul Heyman walks out.  He says he's the advocate for the King of Swing, Cesaro!
  • Zeb is floored.  Heyman instructs the announce desk on how they are to talk about Cesaro.
  • Out of nowhere, Jack Swagger attacks Cesaro, sending him out of the ring.  He looks at the trophy, knocks it over, and throws it out of the ring. Cesaro jumps back in and hits a few European Uppercuts, sending Swagger and Colter packing.
    • Good segment.  I saw Colter and Cesaro splitting up.  Never once thought Cesaro would team up with Heyman.  I like it.

  • After the break, Jack Swagger and Cesaro are going at it.  The fans are singing the Real Americans theme.  Heyman is clutching the top of the Andre trophy.
  • Cesaro goes up top, but Swagger takes him down for a near fall. They trade blows.  Swagger is on offense here.  Cesaro fires back with an uppercut, but Swagger cuts him off with a belly-to-belly and a near fall.
  • Cesaro goes up top and hits a nice deadlift suplex a-la Michael Elgin.  Nice.  Running European Uppercut.  Make that three.  Ok, four.  All of them.
  • Cesaro goes to swing Swagger, but Swagger takes off.  The ref starts counting. The fan start calling Swagger a "pussy."  Funny stuff.
  • Cesaro wins via countout.  He and Paul Heyman stand in the middle of the ring and shake hands.
    • Well, this feud is hardly over, as was apparent by the finish.  I fully expect to see these two wrestle through Extreme Rules.  Loving the idea of Paul Heyman with Cesaro.  Cesaro will deliver where Ryback and Curtis Axel didn't.

  • The announcers talk about The End of the Streak a bit more before recapping Daniel Bryan and Triple H's encounter earlier.
  • Stephanie McMahon is backstage scolding Kane and The Shield.  She doesn't care what happened yesterday at Wrestlemania, or what happened to Kane's brother (The Undertaker) or any of that.  She wants them to ensure Triple H wins tonight.
  • Seth Rollins feels like Kane is missing The New Age Outlaws.  Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns seem to think they'll never be back. Kane goes off on them on a rant.  Stephanie cuts them off, and says what the boss wants, he gets.  They all say they understand.
    • It is 10:57 and our main event has not yet begun.  Shenanigans?  Shenanigans.

  • More still photos from Wrestlemania.  More Kid Rock.  Celebrate.
  • Daniel Bryan comes out to the ring first.  He's the champ.  He should never come out first. He enters the ring.
  • Batista and Randy Orton comes out to the ring and surround it.  They enter the ring and attack Bryan.  Triple H hasn't even come out yet.  They're beating him down.
  • RKO in the middle of the ring.  Batista Bomb too.  Then, Kane comes out to the ring.  He stares down Orton and Batista, then picks up Bryan and chokeslams him in the middle of the ring.  The fans chant for 3MB.
  • Triple H finally makes his entrance.  His leg is heavily wrapped.  Daniel Bryan is still laid out in the middle of the ring.  Hunter steps in the ring, eyes up Bryan.  The henchmen are at ringside.
  • Triple H orders the referee to ring the bell.  Daniel Bryan is still knocked out.  The referee refuses.  Triple H threatens to fire him.  The ell rings, but The Shield make their way to the ring.
  • They circle outside the ring.  Batista, Orton and Kane get on the apron.  The Shield stare them down from ringside.  "Hounds of Justice" chant.  Masks off.
  • The Shield step up to the apron.  Triple H tells them it's not gonna happen.  I'm pretty sure it is.  The Shield steps into the ring.  He tells them to Stand Down.  Kane, Batista, and Orton step up.  Triple H is in the middle.  Kane tells him not to trust them.
  • Triple H turns around and Roman Reigns spears Triple H.  Ambrose and Rollins run the ropes and dive onto Orton and Batista.  Reigns hits Kane with the Superman punch.  Triple H is in the ring all alone.
  • The Shield surround Triple H.  He tries to talk them out of it, and turns around into a running knee from Daniel Bryan. Triple H bails out and The Shield and Daniel Bryan stand tall in the middle of the ring. The fans chant Yes! as the show comes to a close!

Wow, what a HOT edition of Raw.  The night after Wrestlemania is always a good one, but this was exceptional on many levels.  More than anything, it shows WWE's commitment to a new year with new stars.  We had vignettes for new stars, two debuts, and further establishing that the future starts now.  Cesaro, Wyatt, Bryan, The Shield.  It's a good time to be a wrestling fan.
