Bellator Fighter Kimbo Slice Hospitalized

ESPN, through Florida police, has confirmed that Kimbo Slice has been hospitalized for “undisclosed reasons.”  A first report appeared on TMZ Sports, saying that the situation apparently “does not look good.”

Slice, who was scheduled to face James Thompson at Bellator 158 in London on July 8, last fought in February.  On that Bellator card, he faced Dhafir “DaDa 5000” Harris in a bout that received much criticism.  After that bout, Slice failed a steroid test and received a suspension from the Texas State Athletic Commission.

ESPN is reporting that police were dispatched to his home at around 8PM EST to prevent any public gathering.  No police or medical calls were made prior to police being dispatched.  Beyond that, there is little information at this point in time.  Of course, more information as it becomes available.
